The Reno Course Design School, with clinicians Linda Allen and Nancy Wallis, fulfills United States Equestrian Federation and United States Hunter Jumper Association clinic requirements for Applicants, r-rated and R-rated Hunter and Jumper Course Designers. Includes classroom instruction, on-site course design and live jumping demonstrations.
The school is also open to riders, trainers and anyone interested in understanding the nuts and bolts of quality course construction to improve your horses and your competitive edge. The school will also cover practical advice for walking Jumper and Equitation courses. Analysis and discussion will take place after observing horses jumping the various tracks and lines designed by participants. Those wishing to receive USEF/USHJA credit must attend the entirety of the seminar. This seminar fulfills the clinic requirements as outlined in Chapter 10 of the USEF Rule Book.
Deposit: $100 - must be received before space will be reserved
Participants gather at Maplewood for registration, dinner, presentations and classroom discussions.
Wednesday - 8:15 am - 5:30 pm
The day begins with a Continental Breakfast and classroom discussions before participants relocate to the arena for Hunter Course Building. After lunch, we observe the Hunters jumping the course before we build the Jumper Course.
Thursday - 8:15 am - 3 pm
The day begins with a Continental Breakfast and classroom discussions before we observe the Jumpers jumping the course designed the previous day. The course concludes with discussion/analysis and Presentation of Certificates.
