The Bigger Picture With Julie Winkel

For the January issue of USHJA In Stride magazine, the official publication of the United States Hunter Jumper Association, I collaborated with Geoff Teall to write the "The Bigger Picture" column where we addressed the recent USEF Medal and ASPCA Maclay Finals and the role equitation plays in our sports.

Having judged the finals multiple times--and in 2007 with Geoff--I felt compelled to share my thoughts on the finals, qualifying and competing there, and what it takes to make it a successful experience.
